Free laserscanner

Yesterday I got my line-laser from the DAVID laserscanner shop - only 30€ including shipping - and got to work scanning objects at home. The Danish summer light and my drapeless home proved to be a challenge, and there are improvements to be done in how I set up the scan, but I did manage to catch some fleeting 3D points of a running man.
It's a fun process. You paint the object with the laser and can then follow how the 3D gradually bulids up as you proceed. Data loss, for me yesterday anyway, was guite high, so it takes a good amount of time to collect enough data.
Generating full volume models of objects is still going to take some work and I had little luck with the shapefusion trial.
